Excellent Stay at Refurbished Historic Palace

The palace retained original decoration, particularly in the bar and restaurant areas. Breakfast was amazing (i liked coffee), light, and not heavy. It varied slightly each morning. The fruit changed along with pastries. I found the personnel friendly and helpful, a real asset to the hotel. The bed was comfortable.
The room was a bit too warm even with the heating off.

The hotel is very close to a metro station for easy access to the city. This location provides walkable access to many viewing points and landmark buildings. It is convenient for exploring the heart of the city.

The restaurant in the hotel was very good. I enjoyed eating there several times because the food was excellent. Breakfast included their own jams and pastry with varied choices of different coffees.

and they knew all about the local spots! check-in was quick. i could leave my bags before check-in. my room was so quiet because it was away from the street! breakfast was great. I really recommend the coffee selection. It is amazing!
I noticed the room felt too warm, even when i turned off the heating. It was a minor thing, but something to note!

the hotel is near rossio, about two metro stops away. the check-in process was very smooth and easy for me. i was allowed to leave my things in my room before the check-in time. my room was spacious with all the amenities i needed.
The price felt a bit high for what was offered. I think some features could have been better for the cost.

the building displayed artwork capturing local landmarks it was a standout feature. the staff was attentive and cute to my needs. i enjoyed free coffee every afternoon in the garden. i visited the working coffee factory and found it wonderful.
the breakfast service was slow when i asked for a second coffee.
